| Spool change is accomplished virtually instantaneously by backing off the drag knob, pushing in and rotating the reel’s center cap. No tools are required for the fastest and easiest change of any reel in the fly-fishing industry.

Years of testing and engineering have produced the Super Series Quick Change (QC) reel. Simply back off the drag knob, push in and rotate the center cap for quickest spool release in the industry.
Super Series QC models utilize 6061-T651 cold finished aerospace grade aluminum for the spool and frame.

Most of our Abel reels can be ordered with either a Solid or Ported frame. The Ported frame comes as standard on the Super Series QC, Super Series, Anti-Reverse, Trout Series and Abel Creek Series.
