| Many of our customers have requested the “perfect” 6-weight reel from us, and here it is! The 6N is the penultimate 6-weight reel, retaining the Super Series’ large arbor pedigree, an incredibly light, narrow-frame design housing a strong yet smooth drag. A powerhouse in an economic package, this reel will adapt to virtually any fishing situation you will encounter in either fresh- or saltwater.
Our dealers and customers have been vexed by a constant question: which Super Series reel is the ideal size for 7- and 8-weight lines? There used to be several options, but now this question finally has a single answer with the 7/8N. By narrowing the frame but retaining large-arbor size, the 7/8N will still have superior line pickup ability, but with significantly less binding than found on wider-framed reels.

- Reel frame, spool, drag knob and foot are 6061-T651 cold finished aerospace grade aluminum.
- Teflon sealed bearings are ISO9001:2000 and AS9100 Certified FAA TSO C149 Aircraft Bearings.
- Cork Drag System is made entirely in our factory. We use a superior high grade Portuguese cork with a little neat’s-foot oil on it.
- Double Pawl System: Super Series reel sizes 6 and larger are built with our recently upgraded double pawl system. Advantages include: increased reliability, back-up strength and unique sound.
- FlexABELity: System designed to interchange both Large and Standard Arbor spools into the indentical frame. Every frame in the Super Series, Anti-Reverse Series and Abel Creek Series now accepts both Large and Standard Arbor spools.
