Description of the Conehead Autum Splendor - Fly:

The Conehead Autumn Splendor is a spin off from the famous Platte River Special. This pattern adds a conehead for extra movement and weight, life like yellow rubber legs for a realistic action and the effective wooly bugger profile. This color combination is especially productive for Brown Trout and is a popular choice with anglers fishing during the pre-spawn period.

Pros: from all the flies i tried this year that was the best one. i don't know what it is but it seems the trout responds to this fly are very aggressive. when nothing else seems to get there attention the autumn splendor do the trick.
Cons: it look like a tree bee under water and with drudging it against the current you get an amazing results. the trout are attacking the fly very aggressively. work best on rainbow trout but also been able to catch brown and lake trout.
High Mountain Killer

Pros: This is a "killer" fly for stillwater tube fishing in the high mountain lakes of the Southwest.
Cons: Can't get away enough to tie one of these on!
Other Thoughts: Great Service from RiverBum!
