Bitters were originally developed for Bonefish on the flats around Belize. They have now been proven to work all over the world. This fly will catch a variety of saltwater fish and freshwater anglers are finding the Olive Bitter to be effective for Carp, Bass, Panfish and many others. This pattern will imitate small crabs, shrimp, urchins, crayfish and other items fish feed on. The glue covered eyes and synthetic materials create a translucent silhouette that fish find irresistible.

Pros: I can't imagine a trip to fish the flats in Belize without a few bonefish bitters in olive and brown. The bitters from Riverbum are well made and allow me to land several fish before they start to show signs of wear. Thanks for the quality flies!
Cons: Occasionally, it would be nice to have a few weedless bitters.
