Pros: With the coming of the winter months it’s time to think seriously about picking a few of these up, as fishing midges will be one way to insure some action in your local waters.
I like the fact that this is an emerger pattern and that the color spectrum allows this fly to emulate many of the local midge species as well as the reds, blacks, and blues we typically see in midges.
The stout hook and the size of this pattern is also a bonus, as there are some pretty big fish feasting on these little guys. |

Cons: Even though I gave this bug a thumbs up on the size of the pattern and its stout hook, this pattern is a bit larger that the midges I tend to throw this time of years on the water I’m fishing. This is primarily an informational note, so I’ve been doing well with this bug. |

Other Thoughts: I’ve yet to get to soak some of these on a lake, but am looking forward to doing so in the next month or two and will be happy to amend this review then. |
