May flies are considered by anglers as one of the most popular flies in existence. Historically the Mayfly was one of the first insects that anglers reproduced to catch fish. This is due to their condensed annual hatches and survival by numbers. There are three basic forms of May flies • Dries, Emergers and Nymphs. The Mayfly is present in its habitat in one of those forms most of the year.
