Description of the Fishpond Dakota Carry-On Rod and Reel Case - Travel:

Fishing Trip Rule #742 - Every angler must have four rods on hand, even if they are just headed down the street for carp. Additionally, each rod must be matched with a reel and a spare spool, which must also be available at all times. Finally, the angler must have a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich, a bag of chips, and a chocolate chip cookie within close reach, because it's lunch time. How many cases do you really want to carry for all that stuff? Let's make it easy on you...just one, the Dakota Carry-On Rod & Reel [and snack] Case.

  • Signature waterproof, molded bottom
  • Adjustable, padded, removable interior dividers for reels
  • Padded compartment with protective lid holds up to four rods in their socks, depending on length
  • Three mesh interior pockets
  • Three laminated see-through exterior mesh pockets for keys, phone, airline tickets, etc.

Color :

  • Aspen Green/Stone

Pros: I bought this in April for a trip to South Aandros bonefishing. Once there, if you don't have something, you cannot buy it. So, you want to make sure that you have 2 of almost everything (rods, reels, spools, leaders and tipits) This carry-on managed it all with ease, including sunglasses, camera, passports, tickets, etc. A great bag. Very Durable. Also, when you can comfortably carry all your equipment with you, you know that it will arrive with you.
Cons: No complaints.
Other Thoughts: River Bum received my order and shipped it the same day . It was "last minute" for me, and I appreciated the good service.
A "Must Have" for the Traveling Angler

Pros: Makes a great carry-on for airline traveling. The essential gear I needed (rod, reels, line, spare spools, etc.) was important. I did not have to worry about lost gear. It was perfect. All of my other personal essentials fit into the carry-on as well. Believe me, it was a bargain.
Cons: I really cannot think of any. It paid for itself.
