Description of the Swimming Frog - Fly:

The Swimming Frog is one of the most versatile and realistic frog patterns available. This fly works excellent on the surface as a frog or wounded baitfish. When the fish are not willing to eat it on the surface, it will dive and swim as a streamer when stripped. The unique shape of the Swimming Frog is trimmed from spun deer hair. This combination creates a swimming action that no other fly can duplicate. It has a weedguard which will allow you to fish it in any condition. The colors will imitate frogs or baitfish and will definitely trigger aggressive takes. The Swimming frog is very effective on any Bass species as well as Pike and Musky and works on nearly any predatory gamefish.

Pros: I got this fly today and oh am I glad! STEADY AND WELL TIED, does not cast like a big bug, and best yet it caught tons of fish in a one hour period.

Pros: Well tied, with densely packed deer hair. This fly has survived numerous encounters with Large mouths and chunky pickerel, and is still in excellent fishable condition. My clients have had good success fishing this pattern VERY slowly, with occasional twitches. Using a WF sink tip has been productive. Apply a small amount of floatant (Gink/Aquel/etc.) to the top of the deerhair head before you begin fishing... Very good value!
