Description of the Chartreuse Gummy Minnow - Fly:

The Chartreuse Gummy Minnow is perhaps one of the oddest flies you may have ever come across. Created from an innovative material this is one of a number of Gummies on a similar imitative and irresistible theme. Saltwater and warm water species of all varieties find this pattern impossible to pass up, and the Gummy has even proven to be an attention getter with trout as well. Remarkably realistic, with a flashy underbelly they can be worked slowly or fast. A number of Chartreuse Gummy Minnow patterns should be occupying space in your fly box.

Pros: I've been fishing for bass, and pike, and even though I haven't yet latched onto a pike, I have caught several bass. I find that the gummy minnow, when I work it right, just stops and sort of dares the fish to hit. My bass all have been caught when the fly is sitting still. I try to keep it towards the lake bottom. I think the similarity to a minnow is great.
Cons: I really can't think of anything I don't like about this fly...just that I haven't caught a pike yet, but I think it may be ME, more than the fly. I will be trying a more steady stripping method for pike in the spring.
Other Thoughts: This was among my first ever purchases from Riverbum, but I assure that I will be purchasing more items in the spring.
