Pros: I've been using the Korkers boots with interchangeable soles pretty much since they came out (I've been through three model changes). I use them for trips in which I'll be both fishing and hiking, or when I'm floating in a rubber raft and the guide, understandably, doesn't want cleats in the boat.
I think with the Redside they've got everything right. I just got through testing them on a trip to New Zealand and they were snug and steady (with the combination sticky rubber and small stud sloes) for fishing and then, with a pair of thick wool socks, comfortable for hiking too. No complaints! |

Cons: The previous models have had problems, ranging from baffling sizes that made it hard to get a good fit, through studs that fell out and soles that de-laminated.
Other improvements this year include a time-saving one piece lace with slide fastener and an improved system for securing the soles.
I hope now that they've got it right they'll stay with this model for a while, so that the soles don't become obsolete in a year!
