Aquastealth Sole Aquastealth high friction rubber is designed to excel in and out of water. The "spongy" rubber provides added durability for hiking compared with a traditional felt sole, and reduced water absorption, keeping them very light in weight. Perfect for scrambling trails, rock hopping, and wading in wet conditions. |
Felt Sole (Included) Compressed high quality felt designed for in a variety of wading conditions. Performs well in wet and slippery conditions and moderately well on extremely slimy rocks, wood, etc. Not recommended for hiking long distances. |
Studded Felt Sole Compressed high quality felt with embedded carbide spikes that protrude approximately 2 mm for use in extremely slippery water conditions. The combination of felt and short carbide studs provides traction on slippery rocks, shale, wood and slab granite.
Studded Rubber Durable rubber sole with replaceable carbide tipped steel spikes measuring 7 mm in length from the rubber base of the sole. The long, carbide tipped cleats provide exceptional traction in the most demanding conditions. Ideal for fall and winter wading conditions, this sole provides extreme traction on mossy rocks, slimy boulders, slick logs, and ocean jetties.
Trail Lug Sole (Included) A combination of broad rubber lugs and cleat inspired lugs for performance on trails and off-road, as well as casual use. Lugs are strategically placed to provide traction and self cleaning capability. |
Kling-on Rubber Sole Kling-on high friction rubber is designed to excel in and out of water. The "spongy" rubber provides added durability for hiking compared with a traditional felt sole and reduce water absorption, keeping them very light in weight. Perfect for scrambling trails, rock hopping, and wading in wet conditions. |

Pros: The Korkers Streamborn boots have a slim yet sturdy profile and I love the option to replace the felt or rubber soles. |
Cons: It seems the webbing on the lace system is asking for trouble and I am not sure how to fix it when it wears out. |
Other Thoughts: I would buy this boots again without hesitation. They are the most comfortable boots i have owned. |

Pros: Comfortable, switching soles is convenient and reasonably easy to do, light weight. |
Cons: I'm a little nervous about the soles breaking from changing soles frequently. There is already a small crack in one area of the lip that the soles lock into. |
Other Thoughts: Overall a thumbs up. I would buy them again and would recommend them to a friend. |

Pros: Extremely comfortable right out of the box. Good support and stability. |
Cons: A little tough to change soles in dry, sandy material when the material gets in the toe area. You had better order 1-2 sizes above what you normally wear in a wading boot. I have always worn an 11. I had to reorder and get a 13. |
Other Thoughts: I wore these boots all day for a 1 week bear hunt on Kodiak Island in Alaska. I walked an average of 8 miles per day. They were extremely comfortable and provided all the necessary support. I bought the steel studded soles and secured the studs with lok-tite. Zero complaints. |

Pros: when they were new they were a great fit, they provide great support and stability interchangeable soles are a great Idea |
Cons: typically I fish about 3 days per week, after a few months the toe caps were cracking it hasn't progressed any further but the soles are showing alot of weathering/cracking and onetime they fell out while fishing a real rocky stream. As I mentioned above, the interchangeable sole is a great idea but I'm not sold on it quite yet, hopefully they will perfect it. I bought them a size too big expecting some shrinkage but now they are about a size or size and a half too small its torture wearing them now. I would order two sizes larger than normal or you will regret it. |
Other Thoughts: I love the look and fit of the boots (before they shrunk) I'm not sold on them though for the price I would rather buy 2 or three pairs of cheaper hodgemans throughout the season instead. I really had my hopes up for these and am sad not to be able to recomend them. |

Pros: these boots fit well and look nice and more importantly they work well. the interchangable soles makes them very versatile. so far i think these are a quality pair of boots and a good value. |
Cons: changing soles is a little cumbersome. the boots come with a tool to aid in changing soles which is helpful, but sure to be lost. luckily i don't think its entirely necessary so i'm not too worried and the boots perform great otherwise so i'll overlook a single minor problem. |
Other Thoughts: my first pair of boots was a "lightweight" pair that are basically coming apart at the seams. will keep them as a back-up, but these boots look, feel, and perform much better. i feel like i have much better balance and control with these and in my humble opinion they are worth the money. |

Pros: changeable soles, comfortable, good value, excellent service from Riverbum! |
Cons: takes a while to dry, attached boot tongue can make it hard to slip on boots when wet and creates a channel for grit to collect in, no eyelet for gater attachment |
Other Thoughts: Why do wader boots manufacturers use nubuck? It absorbs water and takes forever to dry. With the modern materials available, surely there are fast drying, non absorbing materials that are better suited to the purpose. not sure how well nubuck will stand up to my saltwater fishing either!
that said great boots and the changeable soles are brilliant!!!! |

Pros: These boots are fantastic. They are tough and durable and the thing I like most is that with their fine mesh venting system they do not fill up with small rocks sand. I have used them tubbin' and I also use them quite extensivley to for surf fishing and they have held up wonderfully. By far the most durable and comfortable pair of wading boots I have ever owned. |
Cons: The only coment I can make here is that the interchangeable soles are a little tough to change even with the tool provided. |
Other Thoughts: These are the onlyl pair of wade boots I'll ever buy in the future. |
