Description of the Madam X - Fly:

In fly fishing flies the addition of rubber legs seems to help any fishing fly come alive. This buggy Madam X dry fly makes fish go crazy. A very successful attractor fly pattern, the Madam X has been catching trout for decades, especially in the famous fly fishing waters around Yellowstone where it originated. It works great as an imitation of a caddisfly or hopper, or can be fished as an attractor dry fly with a nymph or wet fly dropper.

Pros: I found this fly to be an excellent way to fish with a dropper. I fish this fly throughout the desert southwest (NM, AZ and S. UT). This fly is simple yet perfect for all day fishing when hatches aren't happening yet. Trust me this is a great fly to keep in your arsenal.
