Description of the Montana Nymph - Fly:

The enduring classic stonefly nymph, The Montana Nymph, is named for the best trout fishing state in the US, which is also one of the best trout fishing regions in the world. (Leave objections about your state in the comment box) This beefy nymph presents a solid dark profile with a flash of color and continues to work wherever stoneflies are found. That's not to say the Montana Nymph is only a stonefly, it also works well as an attractor nymph and excels when prospecting deep or dingy waters.

Pros: Been doing alot of lake/pond based fly fishing - and was looking for a fly that I could use as an attractor. This was the fly that repeatedly took hits! SmallMouths, Perch, Pickerel, Redears and of course trout. Having cycled thru a few version of the Montana Nymph - these by far were the best quality - drew hits - and has been my go to fly when taking other would-be flyfishers out on the lakes
Cons: Nothing but Praise for this Fly
