Pros: This fly is well tied and has a nice heavy conehead to get it down quickly. The shimmering material on the body looks very realistic in water.... a nice touch. I'm hoping to catch large Browns and Rainbows with it in the rivers of the Sierras.....maybe even a Brookie! |

Cons: Almost none. Maybe a little large for some of the smaller rivers that I fish. |

Other Thoughts: I think the trick with these larger flies is practice practice practice, at least in the well fished rivers of the Sierras where the size limit is 18". After being caught and released season after season, it seems you need a perfect presentation (and the right fly for the conditions) to get the bigger fish on the line. |
