Description of the Gray Paramerger - Fly:

The Gray Paramerger , designed by Western fly fishing guide, Jake Ricks is essentially a dry fly with the trailing shuck of an emerger. This fly is very effective during the emergent stage mayfly hatches. Trout can become super selective during Mayfly hatches and a pattern such as the Gray Paramerger can be the difference between a successful trip and casting practice.

Pros: This is one of my favorite midge patterns to fish. The fly is easy to spot and I have found that emerger patterns have been more productive that most of the adult patterns in my box.
Cons: None that I can think of!
