Description of the Redington Wayfarer 6 Series Rod - Rods:

You don't have to fly halfway around the world to appreciate a good travel rod. They're just as useful for tucking under the seat of your car or sneaking out of the house for an afternoon of solitude. Now broken down into six pieces instead of five and stored in the included Wayfarer 6 Rod tube, the total package measures just 22 inches long. At that size, you can keep it in your desk drawer for a few casts in the park during lunch.

Whether you're poling the flats or sneaking away to a secret spot close to home, every angler will appreciate Redington as the best value on the water today. Every ounce is packed with high performance, a fine finish, and rock solid guarantees. And this year, we've made it easy for any angler to find the right gear with four Ready to Fish Outfits, even two that are powered by Rio Mainstream fly line. Pros: Very easy to use under a variety of conditions. I love that it breaks down to 22" so I can easily take it with me in carry-on luggage.
Cons: None.

Pros: Great travelling and hiking rods, good fast action. The 7ft 3wt is light and a delight to use. The 8wt can handle heavy bombs.
Cons: The 5wt and the 8wt are heavy rods so I only use them when travelling overseas as their main benefit is the small size.
Other Thoughts: I travel overseas with the 3wt, 5wt 8wt as I can easily carry them in my pack.
Great Rod - Thank for the memmories

Pros: The Wayfarer fits well in my saddle bags and is the forst Fly-rod I have owned where I can take it with me on long motorcycle trips. It shoots line well, and casting is easy with the stiffness due to it being a 6 section rod.
Cons: The tip action is also stiff. This effects my ability to 'feel' the fish on the line if it is a small trout.
Other Thoughts: This rod was bought as after using one during a 7 day tour of Tasmania - Australia on a motorcycle. After returning home I searched for 3 months to find one of the same exact line I used during the trip. I am greatful River Bum had this item in stock given it has been discontinued, and was such a integral piece of a vacation of a life time. Thank you.
