Pros: In stillwaters, this line gets the fly down to depths along the edges of shoals, where the bigger trout hang out. Less belly in the line brings more solid hookups. After switching to this line, I catch more big trout. |

Cons: It's hard to cast very far with this line, so it's most effectively fish from a boat. The thin line is prone to tangles, and a casting basket minimizes this problem. |
