6000 series reels are built for hooking and playing big game in saltwater fisheries. 6000 reels series were designed around our exclusive SCS drag system that creates a silky smooth resistance while efficiently dissipating heat. It does all this with a minimum of weight, allowing fishermen more line feel and the ability to make more casts without fatigue. This sealed system is impervious to water, sand and grit, requiring no maintenance beyond simple rinsing. The 6000 series reels for saltwater are the same high performance reels that we also recommend as a great option for our two-handed rods. Model specific spools for any corresponding reel in the 6000 series are interchangeable.
Built around our exclusive sealed multi-graphite disk drag unit. Big fish and high drag settings? No problem. Just twist the numbered, one-revolution drag knob, strip out line, then return to the exact setting you’ve tested for consistent, reliable resistance levels. Every time.
We removed all unnecessary weight and maximized strength with curved surfaces and complex geometry. Other key features include a unique concave spool hub that increases strength and line capacity; simple no-tool left/right retrieve conversion; and an innovative one-click quick-change spool mechanism that stands up to even the most arduous bluewater slugfests.
