Great bag for the money

Pros: This is one practical gear bag. Room for boots and waders in the bottom, and plenty of room for fly boxes, vest, jacket, etc. in the top. The pullout mat and rod tube holder are a nice touch. For the money this bag comes highly recommended.
Cons: The zippers are light duty. Although I've had no trouble with them so far, wear and tear could be an issue. Also there could be a few more internal compartments.

Pros: The best thing about this bag is you can get all of your equipment in one bag. It will fit into overhead compartments in aircraft.
Cons: Have none as of yet.

Pros: Price. Construction. Convenience. The Simms bag is priced right compared to the competition that I looked at. There is adequate room for waders and boots in the bottom. Enough room for two pack rods, a jacket, wading packs and misc gear in the top. I like it.
Cons: Have fished Wilson Creek in NC, the Bow River in Victoria BC and Cranberry Creek in W Va since I bought the bag. I only caught one fish and that was in the Wilson Creek. The bag has brought me good luck!

Pros: This bag is perfect if your looking to keep all of your gear together and ready to go. I keep my waders, boots, my large vest, extra jacket and my net all in this bag. Plus you can through your rod right on top with the rod holders and your ready to go. No more searching the house for all my gear. I just have to grab my Simms Headwaters Bag and I'm out the door. When I'm done I throw my wet waders and boots in the bottom and the rest of my gear in the top. Of course the bottom section gets pretty muddy at times but I just take the garden hose to it when i get home and it cleans up really well. I recently took this bag on a float trip in my pontoon boat. I loaded the bag with everything I needed for a day on the water and I strapped it the back deck of my boat. It worked perfectly.
Cons: The only cons I see are that the zippers are of lower quality. They feel rather light for a gear bag of this quality. With as much weight as I put in this bag I fear that the zippers will fail before anything else.
Other Thoughts: Great bag, good price and worth every penny. Its so nice to have everything in one place and ready to go. Plus great RiverBum Service.
