The Simms Wading Staff is hands down the best wading staff on the market. It assembles from sections that will not collapse under pressure unlike many other telescope style wading staffs. The Access Staff also comes with a nice carrying holster.

Sectional staff breaks down to fit in self-draining neoprene holster
Anodized aluminum shaft allows flex while maintaining strength
Top section constructed of super strength bar stock 7075 aluminum for additional durability
Retractor features a braided Spectra cable that is stronger with improved durability
Not intended to support your full weight. Always practice safe wading, do not rely on your staff to hold you up when wading too deep. This is meant to help you feel your way

	Pros: light, easy to assemble and disassemble.
	Cons: the plastic clip system that allows you to detach it from the retractor is flimsy and needs to be upgraded to a sturdier clip. mine failed after 4 outings and I nearly lost my staff because of it.
	Other Thoughts: overall a good staff and I've found it to be easier to disassemble than my old folstaff, of which I have used for 10 seasons. I finally tired of beating it against a tree or tire in order to separate the joints.

	Pros: I absolutely think this is the staff to have. I am sure that it is similar to Moses's staff when he parted the Red Sea. I love the weight as well as the design. Easy to attach to my belt. The retraction on this wading staff is the key Saved me from several falls this summer. Would purchase this staff over and over and over.

	Pros: Very, very sturdy and made from first class materials. Should last forever. Excellent retractor and clip to detach it from the scabbard.
	Cons: This is the shorter of two lengths and it is still a bit long for my 5'6". The downside of its positive lock to avoid accidental dismantling is that the unlocking button is very hard to depress. The scabbard is about 3/4" too short to really cover up the ends when put away. Takes long enough to put in action that I only use it when wading something really perilous or long.
	Other Thoughts: It is worth the high price.

	Pros: I found the wading staff far superior to anything I could find locally. It is easy to assemble and break down. The carrier belt attachment and zinger feature are perfect. Love it!
	Cons: It is significantly more expensive than others I have seen locally.
	Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for

	Pros: If I need to use a wading stick, this stick is terrific. Good quality, length and materials.

	Pros: After falling a couple of times I decided a change was needed. I looked at several wading staff's and decided on the Simms. It is easy to carry in its holster, opens easily, works well and when fishing it can be left ready to use with its retainer holding it. I would buy the same thing next time. P.S. I haven't fallen since I bought it.
	Cons: It is just one more thing to carry but it beats the alternatives.
