Pros: Definitely one of the better impressionistic patterns out there. It makes a killer Green Drake nymph, Golden Stonefly nymph, or Skwala Stonelfly nymph. I usually fish this fly as a dropper pattern off a bigger dry fly when the stones and drake nymphs are out and about. The big tungsten bead gets this fly down in a hurry in broken pocketwater, and the higher water at the tail end of spring run-off - right when the nymphs of the above metioned bugs are active. |

Cons: I would like to see it also tied on a Tiemco 2457 or 2488H |

Other Thoughts: Barr's best fly since the Barr emerger or the Copper John. |
