Description of the Umpqua Drew's Speed Loop - Leaders:
Drew's Speed Loop Is a great way to easily attach a leader to the flyline without difficult knots. This braided loop attaches simply with a piece of heat shrink tubing. The loop is reinforced and will last longer than other choices and it's easier to handle when a quick leader change is needed. The Drew's Speed Loop is available in two sizes to fit most flylines.

To attach cut the tubing into thirds and slide one down to the braided loop. Cut the flyline end off clean and slide it into the hollow braid. You
can push the braided hollow open to allow the flyline to travel easier.
For best results slide the flyline to the end of the hollow section. Take the tubing and slide it down so half is covering the braid and the other half is over the flyline. heat the tubing and it will shrink to secure the loop. Try heating a piece of metal and press it agianst the loop to shrink it. This will protect the flyline and the braid from an open flame.
