Pros: Able to imitate small mayflies and midges. Works great in a variety of waters across the country. |

Cons: None. |

Other Thoughts: One of my favorite and most versatile flies in my box. I like to fish it as a dropper below a larger nymph. Perfect in both spring creeks and tailwaters where trout tend to be selective.
Also works well as an emerger pattern for tricos, baetis and midges when fished on a short length of tippet below a dry.
The Wd-40 is one of the go-to patterns that should be in everyone's flybox. |
