Description of the William Joseph Equinox - Packs:

Simply put you can spend more time on the water without feeling fatigued by your pack. With the way the Equinox is laid out you won't feel any frustration getting to your gear either. Good gear!
Rating: 4 of 5 [4 of 5]
Reviewed by: Ole Jacob on 08/25/2008
Experience Level: Amatuer - Ownership: 1 - 4 Months
Pros: +++Very easy to put on and off (!). Comfortable to wear, when balanced,( have to put some counterweight in back pocket). Good in warm weather, no insulation effect. Very easy access to necessary equipment, not spread in pockets all around as on classic fly vests.
Cons: Little too heavy. Could save a few grams here and there. Front pocket maybe little too stiff, zero flexibility in the materiel to fit different fly-boxes (not a major con.) In a little degree disturbing the sight down to the fly-wheel, and line.
Other Thoughts: I like the design and colors used. Maybe the front pockets could be a little smaller(in depth) with more flexible material. Superb service !
Good and Bad points

Pros: WJs Equinox pack has its good and bad points. The good thing about this pack is that you can transfer the weight, high or low - you choose. I like the compartments, easy access and you have enough room to put everything you need. Overall, this pack is good enough for me. Not perfect, but what isnt?
Cons: Since its a one sided strap pack, the weight is not evenly distributed on both shoulders; you can feel it hours later. The perforated back panel might not work as well as expected too, on a very hot day there would be an accumulation of sweat.
